I'm a person. For more details on that, see below.
I'm currently pursuing a PhD in Public Policy and Management at Carnegie Mellon University's Heinz College. My research focuses on applying social network analysis to different questions that are all variants of "how can people work together better to make a better world?"
I spend a lot of time thinking about how to make the world a better place, and as a general rule, I'll give my best advice to anyone running for office or serving in government. On rare occasions I'll take a more active role, working directly for a government or campaign.
I spent three years as a full time consultant with Public Financial Management where I helped state and local governments make better financial decisions. I now consult independently, with projects ranging from nonprofit operations improvement to loyalty program design.
I love teaching. Whether I'm guest lecturing a course, running consultant training, or speaking in executive education workshops, I think sharing knowledge is one of the most important things I can do. I also cofounded the Corporate Startup Lab, which has its first project course running in the spring semester of 2018.
